Matched
Matched is a page- turning, thrill taking, non-stop reading book. Matched has a similarity between The Giver, and The Hunger Games. This book is rated 4 stars, by many famous known productions. For example, Common Sense Media. Matched is a Young Adult, Romance, Dystopian book. Meaning, that this book’s genre is practically aimed at most teenagers, who like to read about fantasy and romance. The setting in this book is in, Oria Province. This Province is ruled by the Capitals, where they match a boy and a girl so they could live forever. Some parts of this setting is, modernized, country bases, poor, and free spaced. They never have snow, and it’s usually warm all year round. Cassia, is one of the main characters in this book. She’s best friends with Xander and is only 17 years of age in the beginning of the book. Xander, is also one of the main characters in Matched. As I had mentioned before, he is Cassia’s best friend since kids. In this story, he gets Matched with Cassia at their Banquet. Ky, is also the main character in this book. Ky, turns out to be the true love of Cassia, and is also titled to be an aberration, which means he is separated by everyone else for committing a crime. The most exciting part of this book was when, Ky is being separated by Cassia, to go into war. Which in this book usually means, he ends up killed. Cassia promised herself she would go to the “Outer” providence, where Ky is being taken, to fight so that she could get him back. Which also means she has to leave Xander, her matched, AND her best friend, behind forever. This book, just like The Hunger Games, is an addicting book for EVERYONE. Anyone from any age is going to be interested to read this book. This book is not just exciting, thrilling and romantic, but is also a tragedy, questioning and a, once-you-start-to-read,-you-need-to-finish-immediately, book. I recommend 100%, for everyone to read this trilogy, because if you don’t, you’ll regret it. I promise.
