The book Unbroken is a biography that is based in California at
the beginning and then moves to the middle of the Pacific Ocean and then in a Japanese internment camp. The main character of the story, Louis Zamperini, shows great perseverance and determination to withstand 47 days in the open sea
fighting Japanese planes shooting him and the sharks of the open ocean with nothing to defend himself. My favorite part of the book is when Louis is running in a race and all of the runners collapse in on him and break some of his ribs and also the guy in front of Louis kicked up his legs and cut up his shins very badly. But after all of that happened Louis slowed down and moved around them
and still ran a great race. I would recommend this book to anyone that like biographies, World War 2 books, or books about people that show great
perseverance and determination.
