The Titans Curse by Rick Riordan
Genre: Fantasy
This book is about Percy Jackson and his friends being called by Grover to retrieve and bring back two more half bloods. Their mission is to bring both of them to camp half blood safely without and casualties. Unfortunately Annabeth jumped onto Dr. Thorn, the monsters back and later while she was riding him they plunged into a dark hole. She was not the only person missing, Artemis went missing as well for unknown reasons and they both disappeared.
Later there was a council being held a the camp to determine who would go after the monsters and to save them. The result was Percy, Grover, Thalia, Bianca, and Zoe Nightshade. After they set off on their journey Percy found a cow stuck under a sunken ship. The cow was thankful that he saved him and also contused at the same time, Percy named him Bessy. While they were venturing with the given clues that were given to them Atlas, the general of the Titans had sent skeleton soldiers to attack them. These skeletons were invincible Percy thought but not long after Bianca had managed to kill one of the skeletons with her dagger.
After a long time of venturing and fighting monsters they finally came to a hill where Annabeth and Artemis held captive. The journey was over but the fight was not, the general was waiting their arrival at the hill. A huge battle broke out resulting in one casualty of Zoey, she was struck down by one of the gods. In the end all of the main characters were rewarded for the bravery.
The Setting of this book takes place in many different areas such as calypso's island, camp half blood, the sea, and New York city.
Percy and a few other people were sent on a mission to save their friends Percy was determined to save them no matter what the cost was. His heart stayed strong throughout the book and was not the one who was going to quit easily.
Grover was always with Percy guiding them on where to go next and warned them of future danger in the book. He saved a lot of the chosen groups lives by warning and sensing the danger near by.
The other characters were useful at various moments in the book but not enough main action with them to consider them to be main characters.
Something exiting and fascinating to me was when they saw Annabeth and Artemis on the hill or mountain. This made me feel relived that they finally found them and out of no where a huge battle begins.
Who would I recommend this book to? I would recommend this book to people that like mystery and action. This book is filled with action parts and suspense. This book takes place in so many different areas that might fascinate different people and their main genre they stick to. I would also recommend this book to my cousin because she reads lots of books like this.
