A story set in New Jersey, this book is about a girl named Diana who works at Cinderella Cleaners part time with her dad. There she sees many exciting clothes taken in from the customers. Among them, she always find interesting things inside the clothing and that is where her adventure always begin. The clothes take her places with the events she wears them to. With the help from her fashion designer at the cleaner, Nelson, she was able to pull off any event and pretend to be somebody entirely new. In this book, Diana had to take her friend, Amelia's place in the Nutcracker show so that she could be at a soccer tryout. Diana juggles learning the new ballet routines as well as working part time and being in the school play. Diana is a fun, loving, and a bold character in this book. My favorite part of the book was when Diana was up on the stage pretending to be her friend Amelia and dancing in the Nutcracker premiere. She was dressed in full makeup and wearing a doll costume as her roll as a windup toy in the Nutcracker. During her performance, she made a few mistakes getting on the stage that made her performance go terribly wrong. Her secret bathroom was locked, her jacket fell from the ceiling during the performance, and she was hiding inside a musical box.
