This Book is by Lauren Conrad and it's young-adult/fiction. It's called L.A Candy. This book takes place in Los Angeles, California where Jane Roberts and her best friend Scarlett Harp now live in; Jane is going to be an intern at her favorite event planner's office, Fiona Chen. While Scarlett will be going to school at USC studying Philosophy. An exciting part in the book is when Jane and Scarlett were going out one night and get stoped by the reality pop star producer Trevor Lord. He asks them if they can be on his new hit reality show L.A Candy with another two girls. He says that they will each have four equal parts in the show and also says that it's just recording them doing what they normaly do everyday. In the begenning Jane and Scarlett think its a bad move but they decide to be on the show. Trevor says there lives will change and they will be famous before they know it. Jane has always been more into these things while Scarlett just goes with the flow and doesn't really want to be on the show. Trevor calls Jane and has her and Scarlett meet him for lunch and mentions the other two girls on the show, Madison Parker and Gabby Garcia. They first meet when they record the Pilot (first episode of the show). All the girls get along while Scarlett hates Madison. She thinks she is fake and all she wants is fame (Jane finds out that is true eventually later in the book). Scarlett and Jane get into a big fight and Jane decides to move out of her and Scarlett's amazing appartment that Trevor got for them and moved in with Madison. Madison secretly leaked photo's of Jane and blamed it on paparazzi or Jane's boyfriend Jesse Edwards (famous movie star along with his parents). Scarlett found out the truth and tried to tell Jane; but Jane just thought Scarlett was just trying to break up Madison's and Jane's friendship. Jane eventually found out the truth and desperately begged Scarlett for forgivness. Scarlett let her back with open arms. Jane told Trevor she refuses to film any parts with Madison and he accepted. It was the season finale of L.A Candy and they had a party for the finale, it was different than the Premiere party because they actually played the first episode. At the finale party they did not do that. All of Jane's family and friends joined them and congratulated them on the show. They all cannot believe that its already the end of the first season and they already shot ten episodes. Trevor announces that there will definitely be a season two. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves Lauren Conrad's old reality show called The Hills. This book is sort of like a behind the scenes of the show and how it was made. It is a fiction book though, so it's not all quite true.
