Tree by Leaf: Cynthia Voigt- A few students read this book in class. It is about a young girl named Clothilde that is forced to grow up as a slave to her mother. Her father has returned from the war, but refuses to be seen because of his disfigured appearance, leaving the family without a father figure.
Misfit: James Howe- Catholic school student, Jael Thompson, has always been a misfit at her school. On her 16th birthday. she receives a necklace from her dead mother and begins to explore her heritage and her newly found powers.
Forever: Maggie Stiefvater- The last book in the Shiver trilogy. Now that Sam is finally human, Grace has finally turned into a wolf. As Isabel and Sam try to find a cure for the change, both Grace and Cole have to learn to live as a wolf. All the while, Isabel's father and his hunting party are starting to successfully kill the wolves that live in the forest. Great book! If you haven't read the trilogy, I would highly recommend it!
Lovely Bones: Alice Sebold- Susie Salmon, a normal fourteen year old girl, is raped and killed by a neighbor with the name of George Harvey. Susie is quickly taken to her afterlife, were she watches over her family. Susie's family will not let this murderer go unpunished and are still determined to give George Harvey the revenge he deserves. This book is very intense and I simply could not put it down until the very last page. I loved it!
10 Things We Did and Probably Shouldn't Have: Sarah Mlynowski- April refuses to move away with her father, so she jumps at the chance to move in with her friend Vi. With no parents ever home, they are left responsible with themselves. How they ended up skipping school, throwing a crazy party, buying a hot tub, and harboring a fugitive at all is kind of a mystery to them.
Extraordinary: Nancy Werlin- Pheobe is a Rothschild, the youngest descendent in a family of powerfu men and women. But Mallory, Phoebe's inseparable best friend, is keeping a very important secret. Phoebe is the last hope for Mallory's Faerie world, but she can only be made as a sacrifice if she believes that she is truly ordinary. This book was O.K. I enjoyed it, but would not recommend it for anyone who has to be hooked from the very start.
Lock and Key: Sarah Dessen- After her drug and alcohol addicted mother abandons her, child services forces 17-year-old Ruby Cooper to move in with her sister, Cora, who had left for college when Ruby was young. Ruby believes that Cora abandoned her, while the truth is that Ruby's mother was the only thing stopping Cora from taking her away. Another one of Sarah Dessen's amazing books.

Maximum Ride 2: James Patterson- Bird-kid Max and her flock are discovered by an FBI agent and forced to go to "school." There is no such thing as an ordinary day as Max discovers how and when she's supposed to save the world, and she faces her greatest enemy, herself.
Maximum Ride 3: James Patterson- The time has come for Max and her winged "Flock" to face their ultimate enemy. Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel have always worked together to defeat the forces working against them-but it is hardly the same when they are torn apart, living in hiding and captivity, halfway across the globe from one another.
Maximum Ride 4: James Patterson- Max and the other members of the Flockhave been asked to aid a group of environmental scientists studying the causes of global warming in Antarctica. Trapped in the coldest weather on our planet, Maximum Ride is an irresistible target in constant danger.
Delirium: Lauren Oliver- Lena has always accepted the fact that love was a terrible thing that causes humans to go into deliria. When she meets Alex, she tries to hide the love that she feels. Soon, she is taken over by her delirium and attempts to run away with Alex, to a place that supposedly does not exist. Read my book talk blog post for more.
Paper Towns: John Green- Q has always loved his mystery obsesses neighbor, Margo. When she climbs through his window, the day before high school graduation, and asks for his help, they go on a revenge seeking escapade. Soon after, Margo goes missing and Q is determined to find her. Q and his hilarious friends go on a road trip looking for Margo in all of her paper towns. This book made me cry of laughter! I would definitely recommend it.
Beautiful Darkness: Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl- After Lena's Uncle Macon dies, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test her relationship with Ethan. Ethan and Link must find Lena to stop her from going Dark, a decision that could change the world as they know it. Extremely good book series. One of my favorites!

Dave the Laugh has declared his love for her , and then when she finally decides to give Masimo an ultimatum- he tells her he needs to think about it.To distract herself, Georgia throws herself into play rehearsals, planning a Viking wedding, and trying to avoid thoughts of boys all together.

She can't forget what she saw in the underworld, and she surely can't forget the boy who brought her back to life. Great book, as usual!
Perfect: Ellen Hopkins- The definition of Perfect can mean something different o to each and every person. In this book, Cara, Kendra, Sean, and Andre must discover what perfect means to them and if being perfect is truly worth it. Loved every one of Ellen Hopkins books so far!
I Am The Messenger: Markus Zusak- Ed Kennedy drives a taxi and is in love with his best friend, whom he is afraid to approach. He realizes he is a fairly useless human being with no ambition. That is before he unintentionally proves himself a hero at a bank robbery. After that, mysterious playing cards keep arriving at his door, urging and guiding him to help strangers and those closest to him.
The Hate List: Jennifer Brown- Valerie Leftman's boyfriend, Nick, opened fire on their school cafeteria. Shot trying to stop him, Valerie saved the life of a classmate, but was blamed in the shootings because of the list she helped create. A list of people and things she and Nick hated. She never intended for things to go that far and still refuses to believe that Nick was a bad person. A very intriguing book!
Jerk, California: Jonathan Friesen- Sam, also known as Jack, has always believed that his father was a horrible drunk that died when he was young- at least that's what his step father has told him. When he meets George, he finds out the truth about his father, and how he inherited his disease, Tourette's syndrome, from him. Jack and his friend Naomi, embark on a road trip toward discovering who Jack's father really was. Loved it!
The Truth About Forever: Sarah Dessen- Macy is the perfect daughter, or at least that is what her mother wants her to be. After Macy's father died, Macy Gave up running, the one thing she could do best. After getting a catering job at Wish and meeting Wes, Macy begins venturing out of her shell and finally allowing herself to grieve for her father.
