This quarter, i have reached out to a variety of different writing styles. I hope you read these and ENJOY!
The Lightning Thief- Born a demigod, he is sent out on a quest to retrieve Zeus's lightning bolt. As you read through epic battles and the betraying of "friends" keep in mind what time it is.
How Starbucks saved my life- A pure tragedy, a man of high status who could fire someone with the wave of a finger. Is dropped by one of his employees, and is now on the brink of losing everything. As he moves down to the bad parts of the city with nothing except his suit, he is offered a job at Starbucks, hoping for a job. This book takes you through Michael Gates Gill's life and how his stature and life is changed completely by Starbucks. (Highly Recommended)
Guantanamo Boy- Khalid is an ordinary English/Arab boy who lives in London with his family. As he comes home after school, he is abducted by a few men, hooded, shackled, and thrown into a cars trunk. When he wakes up he's locked up in a room, in the dark. But this is just the start. He is then moved to Guantanamo Bay, where he is treated like an animal. (A book that makes you hold your breath through the end, and the truth to what happens to CHILDREN and adults in Guantanamo.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fist Fighter in Heaven- Victor the main character is taken into his life through special moments.
Some of my summaries might not be right. So let me know. :-)
