Matilda
By: Roald Dahl
Genre: fantasy fiction
Recommendation: This book would be good for people who like fantasy fiction books, with a slight a bit of humor, and adventure. I personally loved this book.
Summary: This book is about a bright young girl named, Matilda! She was pretty much a genius from a young age, and learned to read ALL by herself. And she enjoyed reading a lot! Reading was pretty much one of her hobbies. Even though Matilda was smart, clever, and seemed lovable, but her neglectful parents didn't really like her and never really noticed how intelligent she was and clever. The story pretty much takes place at Matilda's home, and school. Soon when she started kindergarten someone finally realized her intelligence and how smart she was, which was noticed by her nice and very sweet teacher Ms.Honey. Oddly enough the principal in the story who is pretty much Matilda's enemy in this story happened to be Ms. Trunchbull, Ms.Honey's sister! Ms.Trunchbull was known as the meanest and scariest headmaster of the school, and none of the parents would believe what she would do. Later Ms.Trunchbull started to dislike Matilda and was very rude and mean to her friends and all the other students. Later Matilda find out she has special powers able to control things and item with her brain. She uses that later to punish Ms.Trunchbull. It was a happy ending of Matilda, saving the kids from the evil headmaster Ms.Trunchbull with her powers she discovered and she got adopted by Ms.Honey and lived a happy life and her parents moved away.
